May 16, 2021 · TR. Felt good all the way to the rest above the piton scars. Struggled a bit to find the feet after, but managed the last bit without a fall. Need to refine the beta for the top. Everything below that feels very secure and completely reasonable. Last few feet above the rest is my crux. Did it twice yesterday, but Struggled more 2nd time in same section as 1st and lost my holds and weighted rope slightly before I caught myself.

May 10, 2021 · Send. Felt v5 -- alot less work for me than the other v5's I've pulled. Tricky to sit start without catching heels on ground and still be able to pull up on the start holds, but I figured out the foot and body positioning without too much effort and got it clean...no heel drag at all. That's the crux. From there it's just whether you're strong enough for the crimps and finger buckets.

May 2, 2021 · Lead / Onsight. Got worked a bit at the bulge, found it difficult to jam and move up since you have you reach into the middle flake so far to set hands. Stepped right onto the slab ramp/bulge and pulled through. Thought gear was decent although it is probably best to avoid cams in the flake. Equalized pieces on each side to lend structural support to flake prob best bet if you absolutely must. Some loose rocks at top, but easy to avoid and otherwise everything looked stable. I enjoyed the pitch.

Apr 23, 2021 · Send. Got it twice in a row this evening. The tight, boxy start will never be friendly for taller people (I'm 6'2"), but didn't feel too bad today. I worked on my perennially knotted right hamstring a good hour earlier and it definitely helped. Not suited to my strengths at all and prefer taller problems with higher up crux, but happy to put down a crimps sit start all the same. And it's actually a really good problem, the rock quality is excellent. It's a more interesting problem than Neon Lemonade and shares everything but the start so feel its a better problem.

Apr 21, 2021 · Attempt. Came pretty close. Got to the top of the rail and left foot peeled and flagged hard right, wasn't sure what to do and dropped. Should have reset feet and gone for the finger buckets on the v3 finish. I'm honestly really happy I can finally do the start crimps. Will be fun getting whole thing -- hopefully before the humidor steams us all up or it might not be until fall and maybe never if I get injured!! I need to get it together.

Apr 4, 2021 · Attempt. My 1st time really trying. Every other time I've laughed off the start crimps. I can finally start on the crimps, throw the heel and held the bottom of the vert rail with left foot swinging off. Reset left foot and went for upper part of the right facing vert rail but it was a desperate thrutch and I missed. I'll have to work that beta since I know I can do the 1st few moves now. For context I'm 6'2" with longish ape index and WITS feels easy enough now that I expect to get it every time. I've gotten handful of other v5's but this will be hardest by good measure. Walk Into the Sky which I've pulled at least 10 times now feels much easier to me. I def struggle with sit starts and tight, powerful moves.

Apr 4, 2021 · Send. I'm getting to where I expect to get this every time now, but not actually quite there. I did a couple laps, 2/3 I think on it a month or so ago and had strong shot at 3/3 today (after working pit stain). Strongest I've ever been, but not quite smooth enough every time on the transition from left crimp/right hand dyno rail to the sidepull rail crux (for me) right hand...my left foot frequently pops off nubbin with enough significance to peel me off. And frequently with a purple sub-cutaneus blood blister on my left index to show for it. Love this problem, will always be a favorite test piece for me. It's officially the 1st on my 'Over the Hill' list. Makes tip of my middle finger go numb on left hand.

Jan 24, 2021 · Flash. Fun, clean line. A little difficult for me to be subjective on grade for this one. Some pretty small finger rails at bottom through midway up, but nothing technical or confusing about the route. It's about as close as you could get to having colored tape marking each hold. If you have enough power to move your body through the moves its not hard. With all the body types and how people use them its hard for me to be subjective suggesting a grade especially when its crimp festival. For my body and current conditioning it felt in line with other v3's I've done.

Nov 29, 2020 · Attempt. I live 15 mins away and have tried this problem over 200 times now, since the spring. I doubt anyone has been on it more. I've met a ton of climbers there (probably you too) and frequently all send so I've seen many ways to do it!! Sigh...the dyno has become routine. The left hand crux crimp usually feels good, but I cannot get my right foot onto right hand match so use the less than ideal nubbin smears 12" below to get at the right sidepull rail, which I have held at the bottom and top several times in recent weeks, but my feet always pop within a second or two and I cartwheel off. Gonna get it, but progress has been hard fought! Really hard fought! Conditions so good right now!!
