Coffin Nail
Aug 4, 2024 · Lead. Finally climbed it cleanly. Finished on Jensen's Jaunt. With Sheri. Went a bit off-route trying to find my way to the first-belay tree. Set up belay a little higher up-- at the entry to the chimney. The crack after the chimney felt strenuous-- was gassed climbing up it. Getting into the crack was as exciting as I remembered it. The lieback at the top of the coffin nail was chill-- hand-jammed as well as found great respite in the rest halfway through. The crux getting on top of coffin-nail was exciting. Protected with Purple totem (#0.5), got my hands as high as I could, pasted my left foot up on the overhang, and transitioned to getting my right foot up while supporting it with a right-arm mantle.
