Jun 25, 2022 · Lead / Flash. So happy to have finally lead this, gear is a bit fiddley in places but you can get two boomer cams in the horizontal below the crux. Crux didn’t go as smoothly as I would have liked as it took me a bit to figure out my beta again but I got it in the end. Need to make sure to get the high left foot over to the right and shift weight over onto it before cranking on the left crimp and going for the undercling.

Jun 25, 2022 · Lead / Flash. First climb of the day one day out with Duncan, Matt, Victor, Shane, Karyn, Izzy, and Madi. Gear beta and crux beta feels very solid, new stuck nut in horizontal above the box. Went very smoothly, I love this climb!!

Moby Grape
Jun 15, 2022 · Lead / Fell/Hung. Such an amazing climb! Did it in 8 pitches with Dylan, with him leading the first pitch and swapping leads from there. I split the 2nd pitch into 2 pitches to deal with rope drag and Dylan did the same with the 5th pitch. I fell twice trying to layback the triangle roof directly and ended up going out right and then up which felt closer to 5.8. Perhaps with crack gloves and better jamming the I could get the roof. I somehow fucked up my ankle on the climb so the descent was not the most fun but I had an amazing time and I’m so happy to have done this climb and can’t wait to get back on it!

Jun 14, 2022 · Lead / Flash. Did in 6 pitches with Dylan, following the 5.8 variation into the direct finish which I enjoyed much more than the normal finish (better rock and cooler moves). I lead the first pitch and we swapped leads all the way up. Left the trailhead a bit after 4pm (eventful morning with the death of Shelia by deer) and we were back to the campsite by 9pm, 5 hours total, 3 hours on route. A wonderful way to end a wild day!!

Jun 6, 2022 · Lead / Onsight. Rope solo. So happy to tick this climb and achieve the goal I had set for myself this spring. Everything went pretty well, had a bit of trouble finding the approach trail but got there in the end. Building multidirectional anchors was definitely the hardest part but I started just building one downward pull anchor the clean with and then building a separate upward pull anchor for the next pitch which felt easier and more flexible then trying to make every anchor work in both directions. Did it in 4 pitches, combining the 5.8 exposed pitch with the pipe pitch and combining the last two pitches.
