Northeast Ridge (Knife-Edge)
Aug 5, 2023 · Solo. Left camp 5 at 4:30. Saddle by 6. Got off track just below saddle and did a 5th class traverse move - need to drop lower. Hard ice made for difficult progress beneath k2 side of the saddle. K2 at ~7:00. Knife edge not so bad - over quick. Then the choss. Wary of rockfall, traversed across South face. Turned the corner and made final scramble to summit ridge. Fun, exposed scramble to 9:10 summit. Depart summit 9:40. K2 return at 11:15. Glissade to trail and regain opposite saddle. Camp by 2:00. Leave Camp 4:00 trailhead by 6:00.
