Apr 25, 2022 · Lead / Flash. While still a tricky friction climb for 5.7, this route is significantly easier than it’s neighbors. Climbed on lead with ryan during day 2 at Yonah after Grandaddy’s funeral. The runout at the top should make this Pg-13 despite the extremely easy grade.
Apr 25, 2022 · Lead / Fell/Hung. Harder than 5.8 (sustained unlike the neighboring 5.9), but very fun friction climbing with low fall severity. Climbed on lead with ryan during day 2 at Yonah after Grandaddy’s funeral. Stick climb 2nd bolt is a must!
Apr 25, 2022 · Lead / Fell/Hung. Stick click was a must (for me)!!! Awesome friction climbing on very very thin, moderate incline slab. Climbed with Ryan on our second day at Yonah after Grandaddy’s funeral. The approach and base (bushwhack) makes it hard to come to, but worth doing!
Apr 25, 2022 · Lead / Flash. Climbed on day 2 of Yonah trip after Grandaddy’s funeral. Ran it out as 1 very long pitch. Crux was a thin friction slab about 20 feet off ground. After that, 5.2 crawling was smooth! Mom and ryan came up the route next door and had rope drag issues. Otherwise easy rappel off the top.
Apr 25, 2022 · Lead / Flash. Day two climbing trip to Yonah after Grandaddy’s funeral. Bria and I climbed this route while ryan and mom climbed the route next door. Cruz was getting off the ground (5.5); after that it was 5.3 cruising to the top. Climbed it as one pitch and repelled using both ropes.
Apr 24, 2022 · TR. Bria Led this sandbagged 5.4 with a little fear since it had been so long for her. I top roped it while Mom climbed the arete next door - beware of rope drag! The second wall with the little roof is the crux.
