Sep 30, 2023 · TR. Josh put up the rope (onsight). He’s got a steel pulse. I wasn’t feeling so bold, so instead of leading I clipped all the bolts on top - rope(clean), and the clip stances were good. I could do this for sure, but the first 3 bolts are scary, and the traverse after/ around second bolt was super fun but a bit beta intensive. Couple of good rests up high would make this very doable on lead.

I thought I’d do better cause I’ve been training a lot, but I guess I need to train endurance (and technique). Josh gave a good belay / catch and on-sighted the route. My beta for that bolt is to stand on toes and high clip rather than climb up next to it and try to use the right crimp. Once I did that it was all good. That traverse was fun too. Love that right hand side pull / left hand reach move! I’m sure I can red-point this- just not my day today.
