Lorazepam
Mar 17, 2023 · Lead / Flash. Tried to do Lorezepam but unknowingly ended up on Greevers arete. There are a lot of bolt lines and wasn’t clear on mountain project which line was for lorazepam. Well bolted and very fun climbing, but to reach the summit block has a long run out where having a cam would be much more safe. There is not a standard anchor with rap chains for this route. Was going to belay my partner up but the way the rap bolt is placed, would not allow me to safely belay him up without severe rope drag over the lip or having him follow a different bolt line up the chimney and thus not able to clean as he came up greever’s arete. There are much better anchors with rap chains for lorazepam and routes up the right summit block. Also of note, getting to the route requires either scrambling to the belay ledge up 4th to low 5th class terrain or circling around the back of the mountain to then traverse across some chossy loose terrain, which used to have a fixed rope but no longer has one. For safety we did this as a pitch and belayed each other across, to prevent a fall into the gully.
