Best Times to Meet: Evening, Weekends, Extended Weekends, Lots of time off to take
I'm back and looking for a solid partner to get my feet under me again.
I don't believe in putting grades I climb on here because that is situation, location, and mentality dependent. I cut my teeth in the Gunks, and have climbed all over; Tuolumne, Smith Rock, Gunks, Red Rocks, ORG, Seneca WV, Yosemite Valley, J Tree, all over Tahoe (a lot of time at the Leap), and I'm sure I'm leaving out a handful of other places. Ice Climbed AK, CA, Bozeman MT.
I'm looking for a dependable partner who is safe and patient. I'm willing to take someone relatively inexperienced out and take them under my wing. I don't climb in the grades I used to but I'm proficient and safe. With a little time I'll work my way back. I want someone who is motivated and safe. Not having experience belaying a lead climber is not a deal breaker but having it is preferred. I'm also more than willing to follow and learn from someone beyond my skill level as well.
I've got (still in good condition) all the gear needed to lead trad, sport, and ice.
I have the gear to lead ice, however that is something I'm not comfortable doing at this point, especially with someone with less experience than myself. I'll TR and follow on ice all day long but leading is something I need to a lot more practice with.
Male or female doesn't matter to me as long as you meet what I've stated above. I'm really looking to make climbing my way of life again.
BTW it says I've only been a member since 2016, but that's only for my reemergence. Haha
Also in case you're interested in this kind of stuff, I'm a wildlife biologist.
