| Feb 21, 2024 · I did this route yesterday with my friend Troy. I used all of the choss-climbing, knot-craft and creative gear placement experience acquired in my 34 year rock-climbing career. We combined pitches 2&3 and 4&5. 2&3 was a stressful chossfest but 4&5 is great climbing on better rock. Pitch 6 had an interesting chimney feature just before the top-out. Did the descent with a single 70m. Topped out on the Southernmost pinnacle, threaded some webbing and a quick link through a hole in the rock and from there we were able to pendulum to the 2nd rap anchor on DeGrazia and follow that down. The final rappel the rope was a little short. you can either downclimb a slab or use one of the bolts on an adjacent bolted pitch which is what we opted for. The grade of 5.7 is fair if compared to Granite Mountain or early McDowells 5.7s. | ||||
