New Left-to-Right Route Sort

I think we should separate into sub-areas. The main formation is called 'Chris Castle Mountain' which has most the currently listed routes. 'The Campground' area is further out and will currently hold only one route (sagebrush shuffle) with potential for more later. I think there will ultimately be many more options for sub areas on other formations in the Three Peaks area.

Getting There Suggestion

Head west on Hwy. U-56 from Cedar City to Lund Hwy; head north for about five miles to Mid-Valley Rd., then west for about two miles and you'll see signs as you enter the Three Peaks Recreation Area. Follow signs to the campground, or for the main climbing area take a left on a dirt road directly after the white fence on your left. After about 200 yards, turn right onto the most developed dirt road heading towards the largest formation. There are a lot of dirt roads out there that all can essentially lead to the formations. Just pick one when you get close enough.

Description Suggestion

Small area of granite just outside of Cedar City. You can see the main (largest) formations from town. Don't let the vague location descriptions deter you from heading out. It's such a small area if you check out the route pictures you'll be able to find the climbs. There is also plenty of quality bouldering to be had with a little cleaning involved. Most everything is focused around the main formation, but wander any of the trails out here and you'll find clusters of boulders hidden among the Juniper all around the area.

*Warning* This is not a destination area by any means. It's simply Cedar's backyard, good for a quick fix, or a granite fix.
