Suggested Page Improvements to Harrison Bluffs

A set of south and east-facing granite bluffs between Agassiz and Harrison Hot Springs. The climbing features slab, crack and face climbing on grippy, fine-grained stone with numerous solution pockets. Grades hower mostly in the 5.7-5.111 range with some outliers. There are a handful of multipitch climbs, and a good selection of boulders in the area. 

Harrison Bluffs saw most of its traffic in the 1990's, but popularity died out and many routes became overgrown. Since 2006, climbers have been cleaning the area again to improve climbs and establish new ones. In general, weekdays are pretty quiet and weekends see up to a half dozen parties climbing

The climbing is at its best between March and November, but is low-elevation enough to be good on sunny days through the winter. The crags get morning to mid-day sun, with the east side walls going into shade first. In Spring, the mosquitos can be horrid so plan accordingly. 

From Agassiz take Harrison Hot Springs Rd. towards Harrison Lake. The bluffs are visible as you enter Harrison. At the end of the golf course, turn left and go through the yellow gate on a gravel road. Drive for 2-3 minutes passing another gate and a small bridge and park at the electric tower on the right. Please be sure to close both gates behind you at all times. 

Once parked, a small trail on the right side of the tower leads you to the Sleeping Princess area.
