Comments: Is this the route Al has been calling "Batman"? Something about being able to see the batman symbol when you look up.

Comments: Pretty sure that short left facing corner with the hemlock above is "Double Crutch". FA by Clint Cummins in 1980

Not sure if this is where the name came from but you can find Montana Wildhack in "Slaughterhouse 5"

Comments: The arete is nice and a lot of fun. There's a lot of loose rock to the left of the arete. I thought the last couple of moves were harder than 5.6

Comments: Fun lead with nice jams. Good pro. Even some places for threaded runners.
Someone (assume GCC) has replaced the worn quicklinks at chains as of August 2016. Thanks!

Comments: Pretty sure this route was named Rhadamanthus, not Rhodamanthus. Rhadamanthus was one of the judges of the dead in Greek mythology.

At least that's what Jim Adair told me.

Comments: Pretty sure it's the left path, Kurt. The right path is the finish for "A Prime Climb"

Comments: "do you by chance have any beta on what trails/locations?"

No, Morgan, I''m sorry.

Refer to the pdf link: I had placed a geocache out by the cove at the New Fairfield/Sherman line. This was in 2007, so memory is a little hazy.

I parked at the coords listed above and hiked the fire road to west green trail, crossed Worden Brook and on to the cove. From the cove I hiked west to the top of the mountain in Sherman. Return trip was via the east green trail to blue trail and part of yellow trail to... more >>

Comments: Maybe not so much Squantz Pond as the Pootatuck State forest next to Squantz. Park at N 41 30.733' W 73 30.041' and follow trails/fire road. Map here: ct.gov/deep/lib/deep/statepark...

I don't do much bouldering but there are some huge boulders off the trails in here. You can probably mountain bike the fire roads.
