Comments: I know I've climbed this route years ago. This particular route does not show up in Rock Climbing Connecticut so "Crossing Over" is as good a name as any.

As far as past history, it's difficult to figure out who climbed here and when. I remember Jack Rankin telling me about this place back in the late 80s when Ken and I published the Woodbury guidebook.

The chopped bolt anchors were already ancient when I arrived here. I have no idea who climbed here and when. Unfortunately, ... more >>

Comments: Since there's already a cliff named "Junkyard" in central Connecticut, a better name for this one might be "Jericho" - after the trail name and area.

I've heard this cliff called both but "Jericho" would agree with the name in "Rock Climbing Connecticut"

Comments: I've been struggling on this one. Seems harder than 5.8
Must be missing something...

Edit 7/17/17: OK, pulled this roof yesterday on TR. Probably 5.8+. Def not 5.9. Pretty small crimpers above the OH. And NO gear.

Comments: Wasp nest on the cliff about 10 feet off the ground in vicinity of "Overlap Trap" (14 routes right of "Reach for the Sun"). Several people were stung walking on along base of the cliff on 7/3/17

Poison ivy fairly abundant at base.

Posted GPS coordinates for cliff are confirmed

Does anyone know if the gate is locked at sundown in Timberlin Park?

Comments: Tape up left hand. Be aware of blocking critical handhold with gear at overlap. There is little to no pro above the overlap until #3 (blue) 4CU at right side of horizontal
