Comments: I found just having the draw hung was enough to make the clip reasonable. I also assume that the route setter was stick clipping the first bolt or putting in pro before attempting to hang the draw. I felt on the start if you stayed just right of the first two bolts it felt safe and pretty cool. My partner went left at second bolt, and it looked really unpleasant and not as safe. We didn't know it was a mixed climb and did the crack section to the last bolt with no pro, which ... more >>

Comments: How many draws do you clip to the end of this route? Do you just finish at a single draw when you hit Public Enemy? It seemed amazing except for not knowing where people are climbing to to call it 12b. I climbed up the slab for two clips with super long draws then went left one draw past Public Enemy. Then it looked like one more draw which I assume would be the 13c Enjoy Your Youth. What I did seemed super high stars but felt maybe 12a not 12b. Any thoughts??? Reminded me of Orangahang at Rumne... more >>

Comments: I thought the rock on the route sounded a little hollow. Be careful what flakes you put your cams behind. Otherwise it is a great route on par with Pulp Friction and The Waffle, which are other great intermediate climbs at Thunder.

Comments: The first bolt is too low. It should be higher. I think they should have put it higher, and then you could just stick clip it.

Comments: If you go straight up after roof and don't bail out left, I think it feels like 11d 12a. Either way, cool route.

Comments: This is the best 12 I've done in Colorado. If I could give it five stars, I would. Hope the Manta Ray flake doesn't break one day. It would be cool if there was a way to secure or somehow bolt it on, but it would also be risky!!!

Comments: This route got its name, because when I was equipping the route, I cut my foot on the rock then sent it shortly after with a tender foot.

Comments: If you do the direct start, it's more like 5.10. I think the start off this climb looks easy till you're there and place a micro cam. I used a new red BD x4 that I found fit totally perfect, and then you have to layback past it to a ledge with feet totally above gear felt insecure and amazing. This climb is a true gem for what it is and should not be overlooked!!!

Comments: If you put a long sling on the bolt out left before the roof you will have no rope drag at the final roof recommended. Really nice route i would give this one three and a half stars. Be careful for tree when lowering Watch Ur Back.
Felt more like 11C than 11A to me and I'm 6 foot 4 inches tall

Comments: There is no way this is 12 c/d. It's 12b at most. I'd say 12c is a stretch. Easier than Deep Water Horizon for sure. It would be a really hard onsight though.

Comments: The rock on this climb is beautiful, chocolate looking swirls. For shorter people, I can totally see 12b, but for us tall guys, I'd have to say 12a, a spicy one especially on the sharp end. Three bolts, three pins, and a two bolt anchor with steel rings. The stainless steel glue in bolt at the crux is confidence inspiring and also allows you to thread and lower if you can't get past the crux.
