Comments: We stayed at this Airbnb place...they have three rooms available.

Really nice hosts and having the kitchen to use was great. They also have an apartment that separate from the house with it's own kitchen.

It is about a 21 minute drive to the RRs gate. We took the summerlin highway just north of the home. It seemed to be the fastest way to go.

Comments: My buddy and I did this route and noticed some rap anchors I didn't see mentioned here. When you top out on JV there are a few huge boulders. Walk around the boulder to the north. You will see anchors at your feet while peering down into the Solar Slab Gully.

When looking down from the anchor you really can't see the next station. We had 80 Meters of single rope confidence so I gave it a try. The first rap drops you on to a ledge. About 20 feet east / left is a tree with webbing.

Comments: Super fun climb with pitch two being the best! We did the walk off to the left following cairns marking the way. From the belay walk left and up skirting the rock that forms the belay. Once you get to the top of the gully you can walk about 30 seconds towards RR park and you can get a super awesome view of the whole park :)

Anyways the left hand gully was super easy and not sketchy at all.

You could also rap down If nobody is on it. Howe... more >>

Comments: I spent Sunday bouldering and exploring the area. I guess you need a Forest Adventure Pass to park in the turnout (I'm from out of town). Turns out the ticket / violation is the same as the day pass.... $5:)

Looks like the top rope area was in the shade after 3pm.

I saw four or five bolts on a huge boulder about 20' above the TR anchors...looked super hard...what is it?

Comments: I was out there this weekend messing around and saw two bolts on top of a big boulder. And as I hiked to the top of the area I looked down on the slab face and saw three anchors with rap rings. Not sure what was below it.
