Comments: I agree with Chan. 10 TR is now bolted and needs a new name. Are we a couple of the first people to lead this route now that it's bolted. One of the books rated it a 5.9+ and that's probably accurate on TR. On lead it definitely deserves to keep a 5.10a rating, but some could argue for a 5.10b, even. Sketchy feet and just a left crimper at the crux make for some scary moments when you're moving up above your protection.

Comments: FYI - I've been climbing in this area all summer and I'm still coming across holds that break off and other rock fall. Belayers especially would be wise to wear a helmet as this area continues to clean up. As fun as many of the climbs are, the rock fall potential does not deter me from coming. Just a word to the wise.

Comments: Climbed the slips on 8/5/11 and the Tyrolean Traverse wasn't there. We hiked in on the great trail from Storm Mountain up past the right side of the amphitheater and I'm just as pleased with that approach as I was coming across the river. I've played in this canyon since I was a kid and I couldn't believe I'd never seen the canyon from that angle before and I was glad that something finally forced me up there.

Comments: Nate and I went to climb in this area today and ran into some new fences and No Trespassing signs put up by SITLA. I called Kim Christy at the Salt Lake office who referred me to Kyle Paisley in the Southern Utah office so we could get word about future climbing in this area.

Kyle explained that they're more concerned about motorized vehicles and dumping in the area. He said that there have been 5 brush fires this year alone and they felt that they needed to do something about it.

Comments: Think twice before climbing this after your buddy lead it for you. You'll take a whipper and there is an angry wall to your right ready to meet you. If it's not your head it'll be your foot or an elbow that it will claim. I'm just glad it wasn't me. Consider this route a lead climb only.

Comments: This climb can be top-roped by climbing around to the left and up, although slightly exposed getting there. Nice ledge at the top. My kids were not thrilled about the piles of bat poop. I judged this to be only 50 feet high, by the way.
