The steepest portion of the climb. 45-50 degrees at most.  The view of the north couloir after the worst of the moraine field. 10-31-17  North couloir on 10/29/17. Looked to be ice down low and neve the rest of the way.  The first rock pitch. The second pitch starts roughly 50-100 feet to the left of the end of this pitch. If the ledges are covered in snow (which they were when we were here) keep your eyes peeled for easy rock to the left. Going straight up gets chossy and weird.  10-17-17. 40 degree snow for 1000 feet. There's adequate rock gear on the left side if you wanted to pitch it out.
