Comments: Lost an anasazi pink shoe up here this summer near the base of TYP. Managed to find one shoe near a hole, so the other may be a part of marmot bed now. But if anyone finds it as the foliage starts to drop I'll compensate with a 6 pack.

Comments: Fun linking p1 and p2 with substantial slingage. Also managed to rap with a 70m rope from p3 to the p1 anchor.

Comments: Yep that's Mt. Augusta dead center with Logan essentially being the entire sky line ridge, however St. Elias is out of frame to the left. Here's the pic with all three: mountainproject.com/v/10873608...

Comments: Nice overview shot! Just a couple things, Double Exposure is the peak just left of Black Cap and I think what you have labeled as Double Exposure is Tusac. Also what is labeled as Old Snowy is actually Little Princess, but Old Snowy is hidden directly behind it.

Comments: ^this

More importantly though, adding routes that directly quote a guide book is a blatant infringement of copyright. MP is supposed to supplement the guidebook and not replace it. If you want to add a route, go climb it and then add it using your own words.

Guidebooks inherently have inaccuracies such as bolt count, route length, anchor info, etc so you're not doing any favors by repeating misinformation when you could have firsthand knowledge that may be more accurate. Even lamer is addi... more >>

Comments: I thought this was one of the more involving, fun and varied leads I did this summer. Lower third could definitely use some laps and wire brush love.

Gear and rock was definitely better on the upper two thirds of the route. Seemed that the piece I wanted to place at any given time was the one I had just used...anyways bring slings or else the rope drag can be horrendous.

Three stars for length and variety of climbing if it gets a bit of traffic. Agreed with beta for placing gear right o... more >>

Comments: This should be included in Interior Alaska/Alaska Range, perhaps under a new Parks Highway/Nenana River area along with Fox, Dragonfly, and Jack River. For a more comprehensive guide check out alaskaiceclimbing.com/

Comments: Old anchors replaced with 3/8 bolts and new hangers 8/12.

If anything this climb is nice to set a TR on for those waiting to get on Teenage Wasteland when in a larger group. Start a few feet to the left for the lower half of the climb for a fun 5.7 variation.
