Comments: Climbed this yesterday and it was an adventures outing.

We learned a couple new things. It seems that in the summer month this route does not get entirely into the shade until early afternoon. Also, there are several good spots to nap as you wait for this route to go into the shade.

It took us about 45 mins to simul-climb up to the start of the route, via lucky lady.

The climbing is good and I feel it will get better as this route gets traveled. Expect cracks to be mossy, sandy and face ho... more >>

Comments: Mantle is hard and scary. Maybe I was missing a placement, but if you pitched at the mantle, there is a real possibility of hitting the deck. My option is that it is just as hard if not a harder then the mantle on vampire!

Comments: doing pitch one and two together sounds like a rope stretcher. can it be done with a 60 m?

climbing out left from the second belay, on to bookmark and then finishing traitor horn makes for a great variation to this route.

Comments: I had always thought what the climber climbed in the vid was the V3 problem. It makes more sense to me know why it was so hard for me.

Comments: just climbed this today and it was alot of fun. We climbed more of a direct line in 5 pitches. first two as goes in the book and then from there went straight up to meet up w/fools rush. then finished the route as others have said by traversing the 5.3 section. I would also agree that If you want an easier climb make sure that you traverse left at the bushy ledge on after pitch 3, because once you commit to going up straight there is not much in vars. to go back left with any gear.

As far as ... more >>

Comments: climbed this the other day and it was heads up for sure. I think that i must of done some variation because, the second bolt that i clipped was not the double set of bolts but a bolt about ten or so feet down to the right of the double set of bolts. Running it out the the double set is training for Valhalla in my option. moving to the right was not that hard. Also I did not end up clipping the last bolt that was off to the left I just followed easy terrain up and right

Comments: just climb this route and it was great, but you don't need me to tell you this. I bet I bet I Hung out under the roof for about 10 minutes, before committing to the move. It was almost like cocaine, once I was done climbing I wanted to do it again.

I am blown away by the picture of Clark Jacobs free soloing this in the guide book.

Anybody else get sapped in the left crack right underneath the tree. I wonder if it made me stick better?

Comments: Well I went to this place about three weeks ago and it turned out not to be as exciting as i thought it was going to be. Looks like a good place for a local crag, but i think that the area need to be respected a little bit more. I was definitely disappointed to see the rocks and area so heavily did respected. Also this is a long shot, but if any one happened to find a knife in the parking lot I lost one on my road trip and I think that i might have dropped it around there.
