Sweetie, does this crack make my butt look- never mind. Belayer's view of P1. The chimney, P2, is to the right of the helmet. It was described to me as "it's sooo cool, when you come out, it's li

This is the best protected pitch of what the guidebook calls the best protected climb at Stone Mtn. The cheese grater swing potential on this pitch is a bit heady if you're not used to leading on gra

Overkill hanging belay at the top of the 3rd pitch. It had been a while since I made a hanging belay. I kept looking for bolts that didn't exist at the end of the 3rd? pitch (read the guide afterward

Descent: go for the 2nd gulley (a leisurely 30-60 min walk)& try not to let the sight of rap rings lure you into the 1st gulley (annoying, somewhat bushwhacky & can take twice as long). Comments: Frankenstein is to ice climbing what Stately Pleasure Dome is to rock climbing... practically drive though (ok, Frankenstein actually has a short approach, it's not quite fall out of your car & start belaying).

no sense in reinventing the wheel. More beta at neclimbs.com/index.php?PageNam...
