Comments: I agree with 11c on the first pitch. Felt about the same as an 11c onsight I snatched on Arizona limestone.

Comments: We screwed ourselves when we took our approach packs up the slab system to the first 5.8 pitch. Had to go all the way back up, after the descent, and down climb back to the wash lol! Sufferfest!

I'm seeing a lot of peeps saying the 5.6 layback at pitch 10 was sustained and sandbagged. I loved it! Clipped a bolt, and a buried hex (red?). Only 2 clips into pro. Never stopped to place my own.

At the top of pitch 1, there are two bolted stations. Left station has rap rings. I ... more >>

Comments: The max consensus on this pitch is 5.7. My partner said to go left after the bolt, but given the features over the bolt, it didn't seem like 5.7! I went right, up the easy scramble, which had a section just before topping out onto the easy slab, that seemed rather fitting of a 5.7 concensus. I'd love to know if anyone's ventured directly above or left of that bolt.

Comments: I led the route yesterday and got pretty shaken while climbing past some loose blocks below the last ledge before the summit. I rapped down today and pulled them loose. Enjoy the stable section and new, bomber holds! Instagram: Paul Hutton

I set up belay on the large ledge with the big, wobbly boulder sitting on it. I wrapped my big Metolius equalizer around the short wall for the belay anchor.

The trail was covered in snow. I didn't have snow boots, so we looked around fo... more >>

Comments: This part is a jug haul. The crux is exiting, blindly, from the hueco off a crimp.

Comments: Technical edging and stemming below the roof. The low roof is a confident jug haul! It's great! Nothing physically difficult about this whole route. Just some psychologically wild exposure at the top! 4 stars! Go send this thing!

Comments: I exit at Rocheport and park in the Katy Trail parking lot just north of I-70. Hike the gravel trail a couple hundred yards to where the wall starts, with the enormous overhang.

Comments: Quite a runout from the last bolt to the anchor, but the last bolt is in the overhang, extended away from the vertical wall. This means that if you fall anywhere in the steep roof section, you'll clear the roof, and not get whipped hard into the wall.

The description for this page was written by a tense, dramatic newb.

Comments: I onsight free soloed a left-facing crack that's climber's left of the big face that has a route with one bolt under an anchor, that's closed off with a yellow chain, or something. It's not in the guide book. Does anyone else care to claim a first free solo?
