Comments: I think it's important to note that the west side of the Lightner Creek Canyon (where the boulders are) is completely closed to recreation from Dec. 1 to Apr. 15 for wildlife protection.

Someone needs to put this up on the main description for the page, as uninformed climbers who do not realize this may get access compromised for the rest of us.

Comments: Yeah, the Fin is just some lame lowball ;)

This is a very convenient local spot for Durangatangs, not surprising that every conceivable part of the smaller blocks have been climbed by solo boulderers after work. Personally I think Turtle Lake is an awesome little boulder garden and has plenty of tall stuff too.

Comments: If Jim Holloway bouldered V12 in 1975 then I can believe this! Still, that's pretty strong work...

Comments: The left-hand cold shut of Hollywood Tim has got dangerously worn down due to the wear of the top-roping of Mad Dogs, and Pumping Harry. To mitigate this, and to provide a better all-round experience, Luke installed independent anchors for Pumping Harry a few weeks ago, and I installed an independent chain anchor with lowering biners for Mad Dogs today.

Comments: Oh I see, did you climb left into the unnamed V4 (the warmup that goes up the dihedral), or right into Cadillac King V6? Or did you do something else?

The temple is a very chaotic wall to accurately document, many of the lines require a precise/contrived description of holds which are on and those that are not. I definitely agree that all the problems should have names. The temple, as you know, got developed by strong climbers who were not interested in V5s, hence the lack of naming.

Comments: This route now has anchors courtesy of Luke Laeser.

It's also a very worthy climb! Do it!

Comments: Ed found that the penultimate hold on Kootenai Cruiser now contains an active beehive, see photo. He found that he could finish the route on the project anchor without getting too close to the bees. Heads up!

Comments: I believe (and correct me if I am wrong) but there is a small pictograph on the underside of the boulder. Recently someone had added a sit start to the problem, I don't know if this directly contributed to the closure or not, but from the sit start there was risk of harming the art I guess.

Comments: Well you can't argue with that logic Eric. I feel like griping about the grade - along with the miserable footholds - is an integral part of the King For A Day experience... maybe I'll just keep it at V4 for the book :)

And yes that Valkyrie problem looks sweet, I should try find it sometime.
