Comments: I had no idea this was an established route prior to seeing the bolts. Based on the poor rock quality I wouldn't have thought about leading this on trad. I guess I would be ticked if I was into leading routes with poor rock quality on gear. But you can always trad climb at Diablo. The Side-by-Side bolting at the bottom dosen't make any sense to me.

Comments: Didn't think this route was PG-13, probably due to the fact that I was able to get quite a few bomber C3 placements in.

Comments: The crack in the dihedral nearly ate our rope when we pulled it from the anchors. Make sure to stand well to the right of the anchors when pulling your rope. Also might want to pull the right side of the line as well.

Comments: I thought this route was possibly the best 5.9 at the sport area. I say this because it seems to be the most exposed and over hung El Rito sport route of it's grade that I'm aware of. I do agree that there are some potential softball sized cobbles that may become dislodged. I would be more worried about the belayer or bystanders getting hit by potentially loose holds. (What else do you expect from a new route) The leader however doesn't have much to sweat being that the route is very well ... more >>

Comments: LOL! I had no idea this was a mixed climb. I was looking for sport routes for lunch. I climbed it using the crack systems in the dihedral and on the face. I would give it a sport rating of 5.9?

Comments: Climbed this route day before yesterday. Noticed there were two sets of anchors at the top of the route. The set of anchors to the right are placed above a bunch of huge loose rocks that seem like they could be easily dislodged if you step on them. I managed to clean most of the extremely loose stuff off, but there are a couple of potential belayer / crag dog / bystander killers looming. Be careful.
