Comments: It's been so long now it's hard to remember, but I don't really remember having any issues with this route, and I've never lead anything close to a 12 in the gym, and only a few outdoor 10's. Maybe something has broken since I climbed it?

Comments: Travis - the parking is right along route 4, and is also right across / right next to the Inn up there, so it's not a very secluded place, and is not really ideal for breaking in to cars. I have never heard of any issues with break ins, I personally would feel fine leaving my car parked there all day (windows up and doors locked, of course)

Comments: A big "thank you" to the person who put in a new anchor several feet beneath the old one. A 60 meter rope will now cover the route just fine.

Comments: OK so I got on this today, since my partner was climbing The Anchovy Caper, so I had her preclip the first draw on the way down. Now that I've climbed it, I think there should still be an additional bolt added, but next to the first one, and make that the anchors. After the first bolt it becomes a completely different climb, and much easier than the nice boulder start. I recommend that anyone who enjoyed Anchovy caper to try going from the first bolt on Caper to the second bolt on Fish Corner... more >>

Comments: Eli - from what I have seen over the years, the ethics at Rumney is to have all sport climbs safely bolted. As an example, a lower bolt was added to the start of Squall on Upper Vader in the interest of safety.

Comments: Would any of the routes here be suitable for setting up a top rope? I will be vacationing there in a few weeks on Rust Pond and am interested in checking it out, but without a climbing partner who can belay for lead, my only option is to top rope.
