This route is actually pretty steep. Only the first part is slabby.  Some interesting sequences on this one. Warning Beta Hint: <br /> <br /> Use the crimps, slopers or sidpeulls that you have and really punch the smearing and laybacking. Don't look around for better holds that aren't there.   Dirty Thieving Bastards... Sure there is interesting story behind the name. Not quite up to the standards of the other excellent 8s on this cliff. Starts out great but rock quality near top seems suspect.  Another one and done. Only slightly harder than E Kat. Probably not 5.8; particularly if you compare it to some of the routes like Caught in Closet(8) Again or Eighteen Inches (7) that are just up hill...  E Kat 5.6 good as a warm-up or as a beginning lead but not much use otherwise. One move and done route.
