Dec 20, 2021 · 1 pitch. Lead / Onsight. Most fun I’ve ever had on a 5.7. To echo earlier comments, using a 70m rope, this climb can easily be done in a single pitch using only the bolts/piton/pothole already in the rock. The rappel off the west face is also very doable with one 70m (tie a knot in the end of the rope!) I brought six quick draws, and two alpine draws and that worked perfectly. I also had the number 2 cam suggested by earlier commenters but I couldn’t find a spot that made sense for it, so it ended up being deadweight on the rack. If doing in one pitch, the crux is either reaching the first bolt (overcoming the fear of a short ground fall) or overcoming about 20 lbs of rope drag (runners or extended alpine draws would certainly help) running out going up the final chimney to the anchor. Also, on a beautiful December afternoon, it was not busy at all. No other climbers on it when we arrived, and none showed up by the time we left. Just be prepared to have an inquisitive audience. Highly recommend!

Aug 8, 2021 · Lead / Redpoint. Probably the best rock I’ve climbed. Beautiful view around the arete and great movement once you get past the second bolt. Stick clipping the second bolt would probably be quite helpful emotionally as there is a ground fall potential between bolts 1 and 2.
