Comments: A 60 meter rope is not long enough to rappel or lower back to the base of the route. Either use the intermediate rappel station to make 2 raps or lower to the ledge on the climber's right side of this route. The route length is more like 125'.

Comments: I thought this route was quite a bit better than Office Party. The two 10a pitches were short but sweet.

Comments: I've climbed Dream a couple times before but when I read Joanne's comments above from a couple months ago, I was interested in checking out the route once again. The section of rock that has been updated with new bolts, the crux of the route at the top of p4, has always kind of baffled me with strange clipping stances and really polished footholds. I'm really impressed with the new arrangement which provides for more natural movement an... more >>

Comments: I recommend doing this climb Route 66 in two pitches. After the first open dihedral, traverse left to the first resting ledge. There is a bolted station here. By using this station as an anchor for the top of pitch 1, you are right at the base of the slanting hand crack and a close eye can be given to belaying the crux of the route. This crux is short but really high quality. Three star climb.

Comments: Hey, Jim H, it's not hard to understand how Mountain Project works. If you can improve a route or area description, just add a comment. Or contact the original poster or the area admin. Adding a duplicate page is not the right way to go. If you follow this advice closely, I'm sure you'll receive the gratitude and appreciation you seek.

Comments: We climbed all 5 pitches today and had a lot of fun! We rappelled the route using a single 70m. Here’s the descent beta:

The station at the top of p4 is a gear anchor with no fixed gear. So from the top of p5, rappel down past the top of p4, to the intermediate rappel anchor, to the climber’s right of the route, that is mid-way on p4. From this intermediate station rap down to the bolts at the top of p3 and then continue rapping the route. Beware there is a short, easy down climb at the bot... more >>

Comments: This was such a fun route. Nice work putting it up. I linked both pitches into a single long pitch with a 60m rope. We probably had about 7 feet of rope left over. Made two single rope rappels. There is a family of bats living in the crack at the start of pitch two. Thanks again for the route development.

Comments: Great, so just delete the routes and the area you have posted. You can request from an administrator to change the name of Red Springs Rock Lower Tier to Jabba the Hut.

These routes have already been listed for 9 years elsewhere and some of the routes have dozens of ticks.

We don't need the same routes listed twice in the database.

Comments: The problem with Home Depot grade “made in China” hardware is the lack of a stamp from a reputable manufacturer. Equipment stamped with Black Diamond, Maillon Rapide, Petzl, etc indicates that those companies stand behind their gear with elaborate and well known testing procedures. Because they are susceptible to lawsuits, they perform the due diligence required to bring life safety equipment to market. They publish working load limits and, just as importantly, design factors. The typical hook... more >>

Comments: I found this to be a surprisingly good route with interesting features. The route must have cleaned up, I didn't see any loose rock. This is a good way to access the upper tier. As mentioned, to rappel, double ropes are the only way to go, even a single 70 won't get the job done.

Comments: This is a fun route with a lot of traversing. I led this with a 60 meter rope and once I was lowered to the ground, we still had about 40 feet left over, so no problem to climb this with a 60 meter rope.

Comments: Fun route, the corners are scenic. In addition to the draws I only used a medium-size nut and a long sling for a chicken head.
