Comments: Doesn't appear to have broken. It was always very hard on very small holds. That tiny little crack hold is definitely part of the route.

Comments: Tim's description of this problem: "Sit start on small slopers and a gaston. Climb shitty holds straight up."

Comments: Ward Smith (I think) did the FA of this and simply called it the Leap Frog Eliminate.

Comments: I did the FA of this on August 31, 1997. Named it because the rock is pretty rough on your hands...

Comments: My guidebook is at home, so I will update the problem names later today or tomorrow. Thanks.

Comments: Ryan, this boulder has been climbed on for many years. In Tim Kemple's "New England Bouldering" guidebook it is called the "Satellite." In an upcoming GunksApp guidebook it will be called Upper Try Again. Please leave your info and photos as it is very useful, but I will be updating the names of these problems. Thanks..

Comments: In the facebook video, Matt starts to the left of the big holds on the edge of the waffle rock, likely on the undercling you referenced. I'm not aware of anything breaking so. As for whether it matters: If you are choosing to do this problem, which is a huge, huge eliminate, then you should be prepared to follow the established rules. Even though it is an eliminate, the movement is pretty fun. If you just want to climb, then use all the holds and call it good...

Comments: Go ahead and add problems, just keep in mind that the Rhody Loadies started climbing at the woods in the 1960s so it's hard to find something that hasn't been climbed. Most FA opportunities that are left are V10 or harder (mostly much harder)....

Comments: Sorry, man but not an FA. The Rhody Loadies climbed everything and anything on this boulder. Leave the problem though, as it is worth having in the database.

Comments: From Greg Dematteo:

This was THE testpiece back in high school. We always called it "The Lunge." Never heard of it as "Rhino Dyno"....must be a newer name for it. Glad to see that people are still there keeping it alive. I hope those poor little trees on top aren't being used anymore. It's probably worth advocating for some TR bolts on some of these routes.

Comments: From John Gassel:

There are now some bolts for top rope anchors. They sit back pretty far from the edge so plan on using a static line or some long webbing.

Comments: Sorry, man, this isn't an FA. This was done years ago along with a couple problems to the left (a slab and a sit start at the triangle face around right from Barbed Wire). You can leave the name up as it never really got a name back in the day...

Comments: This is a boulder that I referred to as the House boulder way back in the day. Never really got around to doing anything on it, but always thought about getting back to it.

Comments: You are welcome to try, as it is a fun boulder, but it is now owned by a Toyota dealership that erected the fence. I would be surprised if they would be willing to move the fence and allow climbing.

Comments: This was always sketchy as you parked in an industrial building's parking lot and slinked into the woods. A car dealer (I think) bought the property and put up a fence that is within 1 or 2 feet of the boulder.

Comments: Sorry, you are right. I recently changed the description but forgot to change the rating. I think it might be V4 if you sit start and then stay just right of the crack but this problem isn't V4...
