Comments: I think there was a v10 ultra thin face that was done at the Porch area. That may be the hardest so far established, but there is definitely potential for some hard, tall arete problems.

Comments: Go ahead, watch the video, as I'm about to ruin every possible onsight at the Beaver Wall:

Start on the sharp, painful crimps. Pull up and move to the razor blade. Make another move to the crimp that feels like pirahna teeth. Repeat all the way to the anchors.

Comments: Is that at Saguaro Lake? Tried to explore some DWS possibilities there once, and found choss of epic proportions.

Comments: Although some people complain about the choss, I really like this area. Super steep climbing on mostly good rock, beautiful views and fun exposure. I only wish the cave was much, much bigger with more and longer routes. Big thanks to the developers, as I can only imagine how much effort went into cleaning and bolting these routes!

More beta for the approach: Head up the same gully as you take for Middle Earth. Near the top of the ridgeline, look for a trail the heads a little left (Middle Eart... more >>

Comments: Really unique for Mt. Lemmon, and a great route. Fun climbing through the roof leads to a heartbreaker finish at the lip.

Comments: The bottom is pretty chossy, but once you get onto the main face, the climbing is excellent. Very fun route!

Comments: This has some interesting moves, and some slightly tricky gear. I hauled up a bunch of big stuff but didn't use any of it, mostly small to medium Aliens. Some small to medium tricams might be the useful for the bottom section.

LOVE the name, perfect name for a new climb at the Sun Spots.

Comments: On a mountain full of fantastic 5.11's, this is one of my favorites. A huge variety of moves and techniques, plus an exciting and pumpy finish. A must-do if you are at the Sun Spots.

Comments: You can also try this as a jump start. Stand on the boulder below, grab the left hand sidepull, and jump up to the good holds. Topping out is still pretty hard and committing. The sit start to this will be a burly problem - go get it Matt.

Comments: I noticed people had been climbing on this one a bit, so I cleaned the big loose block today. I did not have a decent brush, so the ledge is a bit dirty, but the head crusher block is gone.

Comments: Was out there today, and the hold is definitely flexy. I think if used solely as a gaston on The Rails, it will last a while. If people are working the project(?) that starts down and right, and uses the gaston as an edge, pulling down and out, it will pop much sooner.

Comments: As good as Hard Day is, this is even better. It is longer and more sustained, and for me, every single move was smooth and seemed to flow right into the next one. Not an awkward move on the whole climb. there are some amazing sequences using some unique holds, and some really cool hidden rests. I'm pretty sure this will always be near the top of my favorite climbs.

The crux is waiting the 9 months until we can get back out there.
