I'd pat you on the back, but you already did that.
We did't place any bolts on the first ascent but would have with or without your consent if we thought it was a good idea at the time. The cracks and bushes are marginal at best and your ego might get someone else hurt.
You are the first to even look this route in the 12 years since it was originally done.So i'm not sure who your advice is for, but i don't think you need to worry about traffic.

Comments: We call that "The Icarus" variation. There is another bolted station up there before the top. Confirmed 5.8 trad, nothing extra needed.

Comments: Nate Brown and I descended to the south, rappeling off bushes into the highest point of the saddle. Then hiked out to the east rim trailhead were we had dropped off a car.

Comments: in my 1991 Wasatch North book thats clearly marked as needle's eye var. 5.7, your gonna have to look a little harder to find a f.a. on the gate buttress. nice try anyway.

Comments: bird has it right in the new zion guide its 5.10 A0 great route, long with many 5.9 cruxes, the final pitch is 5.10 w/A0 bolts, it's a ful value zion climb.

Comments: eric draper and i finished the route to the top with use of aid. brad quinn and mark austin did the first two pitches some years before.
a year or so later eric draper with bryan bird and nate brown freed it at 5.11 maybe r and not x
