JeffCo Climbers Alliance was created to advocate for continued climbing access in Jefferson County, Colorado. Public lands in Jefferson County contain many significant climbing areas, particularly Clear Creek Canyon, North Table Mountain, Morrison Bouldering areas, Three Sisters, Cathedral Spires (and many other South Platte Crags). These crags encompass literally thousands of established routes, and potential for many hundreds of new routes.
Historically climbers have been free to enjoy these crags with minimal restrictions. That is rapidly changing. JCA's purpose is to create a community of interested climbers to work with local land managers--particularly JeffCo Open Space--to create climbing management policy that protects our cherished climbing resources without excessively hampering climbers' rights.
