Comments: Went here looking to climb some sport with a friend. We decided on Flakview Area. The directions for the hike in on both MP and an NC guide book we had said to go up a steep trail to the Trailside boulder then "Continue another quarter mile or so to the cliffline of Screamweaver Area; go left to get to Flakeview". Seemed easy enough. Turns out there is no actual trail for significant portions of the hike and if the first part of the approach is "steep" then the rest of the hi... more >>

Comments: There is a bolted 5.9ish alternate for this route that runs straight up the face. It's the bolts directly right of clown shoes but left of face-o-meter. after the first 2 bolts it finishes the same as clown shoes.

Comments: There is a good spot for a BD C4 #0.4 in the crack directly to the left of his right hand (maybe 3ft ish above the climbers placement in the pic). I suppose it's preference but that lower crack he's putting th .3 in seemed a little flared and I felt better about the higher placement keeping me off the ground in case I blew the move. I lead this for the first time yesterday. really fun route.

Comments: Topping out on the right side of the block is easier than the left or center of the block. It's a really fun little problem definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Comments: There is a V3 Variation in the guide book. I think it is called parkour. Same climb but you run at the wall, kick off and stick the ledge.
