Comments: Looked at the route yesterday. Two new pitons at the start of pitch two. Hammering them in tighter on lead sounds like a good idea. When I tried the route last year I did not have the right type of nuts. You want micros, the flat ones, not offsets.

Comments: seems like this route would be waaaay easier for people over 6ft. I was baffled by the crux halfway up

Comments: OMG, so good! The Best crack at Tahquitz/suicide I'd say. I think there are two cruxes. The power crux, right after the second chimney you stem up, and an endurance crux, the last off hands crack section.

Comments: missed the double cracks for p2. I continued up the dihedral (maybe 5.9?) until I reached the end of 70m (starting from the base). There was a long sling for a rap where I stopped, with which with a 70m you can rap to a sturdy bush where I discovered the double cracks.

Comments: Isn't this route supposed to be predominantly know for the OW section or am I wrong?

Comments: probably want a number 4 or two for pitch 3, unless your are comfortable running it out a bit on laybacking

there is an hard/akward mantel on the 2nd pitch to get to the belay, that i thought was harder than the roof.

the roof is fun though
