Comments: Bolt belays were only on the top pitches. Bottom two pitches were tree protected. The trees are pretty bomber. Skip the very first set of birch trees in the Banana Peel Crack.

The dimples are really tasty. Sweet, but with a hint of fear.

Comments: This is a classic climb, one of the longest continuous spliter crack on the Apron. For the true crack aficionado, 75m of pure, continious crack! Bring a #5 to protect the 4-5m of offwidth.

Comments: This climb sucks. No matter what route you take after it, it will be the worse pitch you do all day. Dirty, slippery and awkward. If you have the option, go pull on trees instead, way more fun.

Comments: Did this one today, went up intending to do Calculus but it was super busy. Unfortunately, we only had 1 #4 and 2 #3s. Knowing we needed the 3s for the belay, I conserved both of these by finding a number of sneaky small cam placements through the wide section at the top, including a small pocket off to the side, perfect for an orange mastercam. I think the gear recommendations discussed in the comments are a little bit overkill. If you're a competent crack climber you should be able to do t... more >>

Comments: The Squamish select book calls in a 5.10a, but who knows? It feels a little harder than Zoe.

There's at least one place to put a #3 camalot, and depending on how much gear you want to place, it's a smart move to double up on everything from blue to red in the Metolius mastercams.

Fun route! My first 10a (or b?) trad onsite.

Comments: The move on pitch 3 shown here should really be included in the description.

Comments: The Rock season in portions of the Bow Valley, especially on south facing cliffs such as Yamnuska is more like March to October.
