Comments: Shining Path starts on the black streak just left of where the fellow is sitting on the slab, then follows the upper corner to the top.

Comments: Really that looks like choss!? Come to Canada...
Looks better than bouldering at Swan Falls and wondering if your gonna cut yourself on all the broken glass there. Rather climb 'granite choss' than dodging a lot of broken beer bottles.
Reynolds is fun. I wouldn't discount it.

Comments: I climbed/cleaned a few dozen problems up in Blackleaf Canyon back in 2008, nothing online yet, so i guess I respect the no-publishing ethic?!
I find that kinda silly, so you want to keep everything to yourself, but feel cool with using guidebooks for red Rocks, California and gulp, Canada? Selfish?
One day I will put my Blackleaf info online and if you wanna say it's all been climbed you can explain the pre-climbed-choss-intact photos I have.
Love Montana and its climbing!!

Comments: I want to go to Joes/Ibex/Triassic in mid-March or should I go mid-April?
I have to book holidays and I want more sun than snow/rain. What do you suppose locals, is the better choice?

Comments: Thanks ConorD!
the shots in the guidebook make most of the area look relatively flat, I just was wondering if the roads down into the free camping spots are 4x4 which would cause my trailer to flip over!
I think my son and I will enjoy it.

Comments: What is the camping like at Lost Horse, is it free? is it it super busy in August? Can I parka 10 foot trailer anywhere or is it strictly tenting? is it designated camp spots?

Comments: Why would you put only one shut at the top? If you can afford the $ for the rest, make it it sport standard and finish it off properly.

Comments: Hi,
i have some questions hopefully someone could help with:
Our family is coming down to the area in July 2010 from Canada. I have the new Needles guidebook(which is very funny and unique) but it lacks some routes around Sylvan lake.
Where do I find info on that Conn 5.3 route? or where some of the sport climbs are exactly located, i don't wanna take a wandering mission with kids.
Also where is the bouldering near Sylvan Lake?
What is the best campground in this general area?
I have the Rushmor... more >>
