Comments: thanks for the update kris;

i will add this route on the routes to be looked at on clean up day... i'm trying to save this route and only climb it when i feel like i'm ready to lead it... that may change depending on if it still can be led safely from the ground up. since the route has changed, i can already hear the drills humming ;) .

Comments: hey jeff...

i'm sure this is on the list for anchor replacement... if you are interested in helping out, you can volunteer your time or give $$ to the MCA so we can buy new hardware.

Comments: can't find a rating appropriate for a project in MP. i put 5.13+ as a place holder until someone tells me otherwise. i figured its in line with the hardest known route in the guide book... where's andy r? send this thing already! ;)

Comments: the crux is getting to the first bolt. the footholds are like linoleum and the start holds are, well, polished.

fun route after the exciting start.

crash pad is not a bad idea here.

Comments: sweet climb.

lowe balls makes for a good omni directional piece below the overhang.

Comments: hey paul

thanks for the small bit of history, i'm glad you posted. if you have time, check out minnesotaclimbing.com... it's the minnesota climbers' online crag :)

ross' crack is on of my all time favorite routes, did you guys actually lead it from top to bottom or just lowered off then lead up?

thanks again!

Comments: I disagree that there's no pro on this route. It is a trad route and is very much protectable with a standard rack.

The finish is the crux... lamenting how to finish it is what Lloyd did, and I imagine he lamented for a while as I did when I lead the route.
