Comments: Nice addition Clay! I think MP checks the "alpine" box by default in areas that are above a set elevation.

Comments: A little stiff for the grade and (at times) the pro is scarce. Once you leave the main trail, the approach trail is faint.

After you find the climb, routefinding is not too bad with the directions provided here. I thought pitches three and four were the best of the climb; pitch 4 required an interesting combination of chimney, groove, and crack moves and even had some overhanging terrain on it.

Comments: Got on the first two pitches today and they were a blast. It is possible to rap after the terrific first pitch. Highly recommended.

The hardware looks like it is in good condition on pitch 1 - the bolt has an unusual-looking Mammut hanger but is in good shape. Extra 1"-2" cams were helpful on this pitch.

Comments: This climb is great. Thanks to Clay for replacing the scary 1/4" buttonhead on pitch 2. I'd suggest making sure you have at least one #2 and #3 Camalot. We did not use a #4 on the wide roof crack but it may be useful.

I agree with Clay that with modern climbing gear this climb is probably not R rated, particularly by Reef standards. The second pitch is committing, though.

Comments: Beautiful, fun little crag ideal for folks climbing 5.10.

Finding this wall is a little tricky, so I put together a google earth file to help. It can be downloaded here:

geir.com/googleearth/lemmon/bo...

The final descent to the wall is exposed; be careful and/or rope up if you feel it is necessary.

Comments: Great Luke! I have a bolt puller that can be used to get some types of old bolts out completely. Feel free to PM me if you want to give it a try for that anchor that you mentioned.

Comments: This route is committing; I would suggest a PG13 rating. Small horizontal cam placements down low lead to heady climbing with some hollow sounding rock beneath the crux bulge.

Comments: Yeah Marcy was pretty bold climbing up there with no large cams at all. She did a great job finding small gear instead. Pretty darn fun stuff, the whole pitch went with just one bolt.

Comments: Greg,

I bothered with the two bolts so that I wouldn't die on the ground up FA. Other than that, I think you're right on the mark.

This route would require so much cleaning to make it safe that I'd just be manufacturing a route. It would be much better to take it down then leave a legacy like that behind. I'll be happy to remove it the next time I'm up there.

Comments: Thanks all for your insights and willingness to sort through this stuff. Also thanks Aaron for cleaning the death blocks off this route as it definitely made it safer to go up this way.
