Comments: Loved It! The hardest moves are the ones off the ground. No large pro required. Good rock quality. Excellent chimney experience. Bonus top rope of Mr. Natural.

Comments: First Pitch is five stars. Second Pitch is three. Above that are some nasty dirty and rotten sections. I'd do the first pitch again then rap!

Comments: Approached this route via what I believe to be "Hot Toes", 5.7s, from Rossiter's old guidebook. I would have called it SE Chimney Direct, and 5.7s seemed to be the correct rating. The crux is not well-protected! As for the chimney itself, that seemed harder than 5.5. I haven't climbed many chimneys so maybe that is why it seemed harder. I did find good pro in the chimney including two chockstones to sling and some small cam placements. You do have to take the pro when it appears. There is enough... more >>

Comments: I went to Pinecliff today 19 Aug 08 and discovered the "No Trespassing" signs. One on a tree in front of the Waterfall Route and another up top on a tree near Frenzy along with a second sign that states "No Climbing Thank You". I have been bouldering here for at least 15 years and hiking for at least 22 years, can they really close this area? Has anybody found out what is going on?

Comments: The standard rap route on this rock is in bad shape. Rotten sling nests at the raps that are still there. The second rap is completely missing. You will end up about 25 feet short of the third rap with a standard 50m rope. Needs many long slings for repair. Take a long rope or plan to spend some extra time rigging an anchor to belay down to the third rap. This was the condition on 26 Aug 01.
