Comments: There are two additional bolted mixed/dry routes over the pond that are worth mentioning:

  • Over the center is a M7(?) route that follows a good seem the whole way up. First bolt is above where the ice forms, so either protect with screw or courtesy clip.

  • To the left of the last route is a M8(?) that follows a series of fun, and reachy moves. Same thing with first bolt as last route.

Both routes are equipped with steel clip style hooks on the chains. It is acceptable to TR directly off these.... more >>

Comments: The main flow area is one of the only areas that get natural ice somewhat reliably. The ice here goes at about WI4 when not picked out.

This area is located right in front of a couple permanent benches.

There are bolts up above most of the popular lines.

Comments: There's a massive log on the right side of this route now. There's some other climbs that are a little better nearby too. Just to the climber's left of Danger Blanket is a really cool formation, it is separated by an arête. We have climbed some other stuff further out too.

Comments: Route was equipped with 10 bolts, thanks James. Route is very well protected.

There's two steel clip style anchor chains. It is acceptable to TR directly through these.

Hard moves to gain fist ledge without ice. Easy cruisin' after that. Excellent introductory mixed/dry lead.

Comments: If you're looking for food, try Jan & Gary's country dining. Priced right and the breakfast portions have been great each visit. Lunch stuff is decent too.

Comments: Q1: What is the bolt off to the right of the bolt line for? There would be some crazy rope drag if you were to clip it along with any of the others to the left. It appears to be by itself.

Q2: Is the jug on the left side of the first roof off route? Haven't seen any responses to Mark Wehde's comment.

Comments: Cleaned the dirt and sand off a little, but it's still plenty dirty.

Had fun working the crux, even with all the moss.

Comments: Are the new chains off to the left for this route? If so, kind of eliminates the need for the one hand jam.

The arete below the new chains is fun choss on top rope. The face/arete might be a whole different route though?

I like this chill little area back in by the perfect crime, good luck with the belay though.

Comments: The cold shut on the left looks worn about a quarter of the way through. Should probably rap off.

Fun climb - isn't too run out(compared to most routes at RW), but there's a few interesting moves near your 1st and 2nd bolt.
