Comments: Just got back from an amazing Forks trip--climbed Mayflower today, and even though I have small/thin hands it was a great cupped-hand size, really solid. I love that exposed step across to the pillar! And yes, not to contradict Christian on the posting above, but as of 8/19/09 there is a fixed cam in the crack.

Comments: I know the above questions from Desicon are old, but I thought this info would be useful anyway... I don't think this climb is height dependent at all. If you start directly under the first bolt it's VERY balancy, but if you choose your feet carefully you're able to get your weight over them, so there's time to think and decide what to use. I'm 5'3" and my partner, who's 5'10", was able to do it in one move less than me, but I don't think the move I added was at the grade.

Comments: So many of the chalked-up holds on this route are hollow and/or loose--some of them even bend a little. The leader definitely needs to exercise some discretion; I didn't trust a lot of what was available, and with that in mind I didn't feel it necessarily runs at 5.8-

Comments: My first 10+ lead! Pumpy enough to keep one focused but not so pumpy to shut one down; I felt there were really great rests after every set of hard moves. Clipping that first bolt while hanging is pretty fun.
