Comments: Thanks Benjamin. You should get up on K9. Free what you can, take a few whippers & Aid thru if you have to. It's a great experience!

Comments: I promise I wil finish the first pitch next summer! The first pitch will start from directly under the roof & climb thru the roof to access the easier climbing above. I do think that it will be at least 5.12a.

Comments: Nate, It is great to hear that you have been spending time up at Pete's! Any work cleaning cracks & establishing new routes is very cool. Feel free to give me a shout (drop me an email) and I can get you any historic info & any beta you may need. Ive been wanting to do a run up K9 Shanghai yet this Autumn so I will be looking for people to do that with if you are interested. Cheers

Comments: Really hoping that a party will get the second ascent on this next year! If anyone gets out to try this route please post your comments and opinions as it would be nice to know what others think of this climb.
So great to have done this route with you Reed! Awesome job with that first pitch! Hope all is well in Utah. Cheers, Elmo

Comments: It always blows me away to hear climbers rant about an area when they have nothing positive to say. It would be nice for people to really climb at an area a few times before making statements like "this place sucks" and "Why folks from Portland would go there is beyond me". Where would our sport be if not for the hard working folks who take the time to find new areas and put up new routes; show some respect to those who strive to make our sport better. If you do not like something about an ar... more >>

Comments: I agree, this is an excellent route to do, or take someone up, if you are teaching or practicing multi-pitch proficiency. I took a climbing partner up this route as a refresher before we headed to Prussic Peak in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, and it helped her confidence up high in the back-country.
