UPDATE: Summer/Fall 2012
Living in Sandy, UT and traveling to WY/CO area frequently.
I am open to about any style of climbing. Not a cutting edge climber, just out to suffer a little from time to time, learn some new skills when possible, meet some new folks, and keep climbing.
TRAD/SPORT:
Always open!! Over the years I've climbed in various areas and taken a few courses which means I have just enough knowledge to know better, but I still do. Love climbing with more experienced or less experienced climbers ANYTIME!
Gear:
A couple of dynamic ropes, rack consists of a good range, size and variety of cams, and nuts
ALPINE:
Had several solo ascents including, Borah Peak, ID. Lonesome Peak in MT. Several 14ers in CO and CA.
Put up a ridiculous multi-pitch class IV/scramble 5.0- bushwack on some obscure rock in WY not worth mentioning except that the summit was a pretty neat little endeavor. I have a profile on SummitPost with more info. Tackled Dreamweaver on Mt. Meeker in 2008?. Extended backpacking trip in Absaroka-Beartooth wilderness this past summer. I have a beacon/probe/shovel for winter/spring conditions. Pretty flexible as far as goals, desires, etc.
ICE:
Attended the 2010 Ice Fest in Cody, WY. Will be going again for 2011. Looking to get on the ice in CO/UT/WY. Would like to find an experienced mentor. Willing to travel, and beer. A few pitches under my belt, so just enough of a taste and suffering to want more!!
Gear:
I can contribute one BD ice screw and a little thingy I made from a wire clothes hanger to feed slings through v-threads.
AID:
Looking to expand into aid. I have very little experience at this style of climbing. Willing to belay slave, haul bags to trade for experience and instruction.
Gear: A couple of pitons...willing to contribute to an aid rack anything from my trad/sport rack.
MIXED:
Additionally, I've delved into mixed climbing due to poor route-finding skills, crappy conditions, and a miserable hangover. Yep! I'd probably do it again....
I have found myself on all kinds of interesting adventures or mis-adventures through the years, so hit me up if you feel willing to support an occasionally homeless, partially unemployed, housebroken, down to earth, mid-grade, climbing partner.
Thanks!
