Comments: We were down there last week and there was no sign for Woodbury Road. The new brown sign at approx the 2 mile marker heading north or south on Hwy 91 is now called this: Mohave Scenic Byway/Joshua Tree Natural area (dirt road). Then the two crags, Kelly's Rock and Black & Tan, are 3.5 miles back on the dirt road. See beta photo above.

Comments: We hiked down and out of the Gully Slab area heading N/NW along the base of the crag on a cairned trail and found 3-4 more bolted routes on this far end of the crag. Does anyone know which routes those might be? Didn't see them in Jason Haas' guidebook.

Comments: Does anyone know what the route is on the far east side of the crag? You walk to the climber's right from the start of Crystal Jug down a hill and slightly back up again and there's a route there with 7 bolts and a scramble up to a flaky start. Then a long runout between the last bolt and the anchors. Felt like a 5.8. We should add it to MP.

Comments: Climbed this 7/6/13 and the conditions were OK given we got a late start. Some rockfall, maybe caused by a HUGE marmot, so stay close to the right side for alcove cover. Good belay options by slinging rocks on the right side. Gradual increase in grade at the top made for a fun finish. Saw some skiers over in the other Odessa Gorge gullies, but snow is getting thin all over. Next!!
