Comments: Posting public comments that justify Mr. Rat's response is neither respectful nor friendly. I don't know why these issues have to be handled in such a destructive way with an expectation that something will change. I will, however, stick up for my friend when he's being harangued for trying to post up information in an attempt to share this great area with others.

Comments: Mr. Slim,
I do think it's unreasonable for a bunch of anonymous cowards to attack the integrity of first class dude, sponsored or not. It seems pretty obvious that you don't know Rob and his level of involvement with the local community. He was awarded Mesa County school district's teacher of the year for his work with at-risk students which clearly requires selfish, arrogant, self-promotion as your homie Mr. Rat suggests. I find it iro... more >>

Comments: Mr. Rat,
Once again, why don't you add the accurate route names and FA's in an attempt to "let others clean up the mess"? Quit acting like anyone can buy an out of print guidebook form the 80's at the local gear shop. Be the change you want to see in the world. Shit, photocopy the pages out of the book and mail them to Rob if it matters that much to you. Or maybe that's too civil and re... more >>

Comments: Kangaru Rat wrote " So, what you’re saying Rob is that it’s OK to be ignorant and that you’re too lazy to do the research. Guidebook authors – and by posting routes you are an author - have a responsibility to assimilate available information as a base before adding to or improving on that information. You say you “don’t have too many guidebooks” (and in another recent post “don’t have too much time to find the book”) which are poor excuses, and as a result you... more >>

Comments: 5 people climbed it without trimming the bush? What about stewardship and route maintenance? ;^) JK.
It's been a while since I climbed it. Maybe I was stronger back then; I was drinking more. Regardless, it's good to hear I'm not the only one to enjoy these routes (most people leave their trad racks in the car at DH).

Comments: Demon Semen, 5.8.
We thought it was just as hard as the Devils Duodenum, just fingery instead of hands.
I haven't been up there in a while, too bad to hear the bush grew back. Maybe some more gardening is in order.

Comments: Paranoia would have set in if I knew how loose it was while I was belaying 20' underneath it. Really good route though, and much safer now. Thanks for putting it up!

Comments: The spooky block now resides in the talus below. Did not take much to send it down. Use caution moving around new area as there may be some exfoliating rock.

Comments: I think that's the right side of the P Wall (Possibility Wall). Rob Pizem put up some testpieces on that thing a couple of years back, and there is still an open project (.14?) up there too.

Comments: Great pitch! One of the best of its grade at Unaweep (at least that I've done) and easier than it looks from the ground. Thanks for your work in the area, Jesse!
Any attempt (or beta) on the pitches above the pillar? They look splitter as well.

Comments: No worries, I was only guessing anyway. We didn't have a current guidebook (our was borrowed from some Austrians, which was from the 1990's and not in english). I'll post more later.

Comments: I think it's called "parete" zebrate. Which means zebra face (I think). Look at the title in the photo of the sign at the trail-head. The routs here are awesome, moderate, and sporty. When ever you can't see the next bolt, they've painted arrows on the rock to show you where to go. Also they have chizled the rout names at the base to avoid confusion. Different country, different ethic than the states. If this place was in the US, there would be a thread 50 pages long about the disrespect for the... more >>

Comments: I thought it would be more appropriate if it was placed under Mt. Evans as the views of the Black Wall and Evans are just in the background. Oh well; killer crag on good stone. Nice job, and thanks for all the hard work.

.10+ in my opinion.

Comments: After going back and climbing this route with the new extension, I definitely feel that it is a 5.10. Barney now goes all the way up to the top of the cliff with 3-4 more bolts past the old anchor and is pretty sustained. Not that it was a bad climb before, but now it's a Sand Gulch classic. Nice job, Bob and Carrie!

Comments: Don't be fooled by Craig Childre.
"This place is nice, but it is no destination crag. The road sucks, the approach sucks, and very few would go to the trouble to actually take a trip there. Sitting Bull is a far better choice if you want some of the sweet Limestone."
-Road was traveled by a Honda accord
-approach was a casual 30 min
-limestone is better than Sh--ting bull falls.
However, I do agree with the removal of directions from the site. Let's not ruin the access to this great climbing res... more >>

Comments: Good, now I know the dates not to go to the Creek. Gee, I wonder why this area's access is threatened? If you want to learn how to crack climb, take the money you would have given to these companies and give it to the Access Gund, so that you'll have a place to learn how to crack climb the old fashioned way.
