Comments: The top part of this most likely has been climbed before as a variation to Book of Wasps, though climbing from the fixed belay of EoA is probably new terrain. At any rate, it needed to be documented.

I definitely recommend the link-up with the Edge first pitch for a nice long lead. Use lots of runners.

Comments: I added a first pitch, so now the Edge climbs over 200 ft, starting from almost the bottom of the canyon. Description edit above.

Comments: Excellent and overlooked. High quality stone in the bolted approach bits and an intimidating crux up high where the feetholds run out. Next time I'd bring: a medium nut or small cam followed by 1ea C4s#.3-#2.

Comments: The opening slab of Railway Runaway makes for a nice alternate start. After the 3rd bolt head up to the corner of Twist. Additional pro in the horizontal.

Comments: Regarding the hanging belay at the end of P1 (proper) of Solid Gold.

Edit:
One trick I have done is to belay with gear above the last bolt of that pitch in a nice ledge pod. Plenty of options for bomber pro, though a couple Aliens should suffice and can use the last bolt as upward pull. You can slingshot off the rap anchors if you want to, but have to downclimb back to the pod. Supercomfy!

Richard originally set up SG to be climbed with a 60m. If the belay/rap station were to be m... more >>

Comments: It has been attempted a few times, David. Locals pretty strict with no more extra bolts at Turkey. Q&Q has always been a follow-clean-rap kind of route.

Comments: Great route with lots of rests. But to you folks that claim "70m makes it to the ground just fine", i'd like to clarify that it makes it to about 10 feet from the ground, though easy enough to downclimb the flakes.

Comments: Above pic slightly outdated. There are actually two anchor bolts with mussies on Mulligan Stew ledge. A piece of chain on the anchor lets you extend the clip if you feel timid getting to the next bolt, which is about two feet higher than in picture. 13 draws total for M.Pie

Comments: Your description sums up the climbing pretty well although I counted 5 clips. The second one would be bit desperate and getting to the last clip is heady though with relatively easier moves. 12c in Rob's book, FA Barry Ward. Awesome sequences on bullet rock, so to speak...
