Comments: This route isn't as bad as described, but it's pretty overgrown. Interesting moves up the broken column, but beware of the wobbly flake halfway up. I stepped right on the ledge per Gillett to do the Route 166 chimney finish. Did not find a loose chockstone, so maybe it's already rolled or set? No bolts at the top but excellent two- (or three-) point gear anchor can be had. We scrambled right at the top to rap off of the chains for Sneak Attack.

Comments: This is a *must do* route. Solid WI3 climbing with a nice short pillar as the crux. Great views/photos from the cave behind the pillar with the lake and the Lodge in the background. After a few raps, glissade back to the lakeside trail to applause from the tourists in the horse-drawn sled. Don't follow the sled too closely--the horses are well-fed.

Comments: Better than a bomb. Look at it as a good way to get the rope up there to TR the harder climbs on the dome.

Comments: Followed this today and saw not a single pigeon or a drop of bird poop, which was odd considering the ever-present swallows. (Have swallows replaced the pigeons?) Didn't encounter much loose rock either. This is a good, varied climb--never boring! And much of it was in the shade. A pretty interesting alternative to Bastille Crack, if you're feeling impatient and don't want to wait in line.

Comments: This one is big fun; the approach can be a bit treacherous, especially if there is no snow, just wet leaves over slippery shale slabs. And take care not to punch through when crossing the creek.
