Comments: Cleanest chossy route I've climbed--at least the first 3 pitches. They are climbed so frequently that they're pretty clean. Sure we knocked free some little scree, but nothing heinous. While I probably wouldn't climb this again unless I was taking someone new, it was fun and if you're an RC regular is definitely one you should tick off your list.

Comments: Getting off the ground wasn't a problem, but the next two moves up to the first bolt and onward were tricky. Maybe it is just our height (we're all 5'8" and shorter)? I'm inclined to think that some holds have broken off, partially because as I was going for the first bolt, my left hand hold ripped off the wall. There were some other loose stuff on the way up that we cleaned, before it started pouring on us and we scampered home.

Comments: My favorite lead in this area. TR isn't really doable with rope dragging over the edge (haha) and it just pulls you over onto "Lead." All in all, a fun climb--we'll have to come back and lead the crack on gear, looks like a lot of fun.

Comments: Make sure you have a picture of the route, or it is VERY easy to meander from route to route...

Comments: Perhaps it was just me (I'm short), but coming up over the little hole after the first bolt seemed harder than a 5.7 move--you could go right of the hole, but the move up over it was pretty tricky.

Comments: There is a single bolt on the top (above the chains) if you'd like to hang out up there with protection. Awesome view--easily my favorite on Road Kill Wall.

Comments: I climbed left of the bolts and thought that a few of the moves were a little more than 5.6. When I cleaned the route for our group on TR I went straight up/to the right and realized that it is definitely a 5.6. About half way up there a couple of really cool holds.

Not a good route for TR.

Comments: Super easy climb--but really, some of the holds are super fun--great for kids (the kids we took climbing for the first time said this was their favorite).

Comments: The fixed carabineers are looking very worn and probably need replacement. Super awesome idea, however. I want to incorporate that at our local crags back home.

Comments: 60m rope required to lower if you plan on setting up a toprope. Doubt a 50m would suffice. Definitely a very fun climb.

Comments: Doable with no trad gear. If the spacing between bolts freaks you out, you can very easily set up a toprope by hiking around on the trail to the left of this climb.

Comments: Great climb! If there are tons of people on Red Slab and you don't want to venture further up the canyon for an easier climb, this is definitely for you. If you don't mind the crazy steep approach, that is. We avoided going back down the "slot" by veering left (when going north) around the large rock feature and following some deer trails to the alternate approach to the Ed and Terry wall. The slot is super steep and washed out, and if you're carrying any amount of gear is difficult to manag... more >>

Comments: There is a great 5.9 right to the left of this climb that links up about half way and anchors in at the same chains.

The view from the top is pretty phenomenal.
