Comments: Climbed this on 5/6/17. There is no block to step on making it a tricky high step start with an ugly fall potential. A stick clip would make it completely benign. I won't venture a rating, but the beta I used to make the move felt harder than 9+.

Comments: If you plan on visiting Triassic, be aware of recent developments. Please take the time to read this thread about how representatives of the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance are working with a mining company to preserve climber access:

Comments: 5 bolts, bring two extra draws for the anchors if you desire.

Comments: There are 10(!) bolts + a 2 bolt anchor with rings. We used a sixty and had plenty of rope for lowering and rapping, just belay high in the gully and lower/rap to the right of the tree and scramble down.

Comments: There are no parking signs posted on the gate at the end of Cascade. Last week we parked on the street away from any drives, but we still came back to our car to find a nice little warning note left by a resident...

Take this as you will.

Comments: Some of the info I have given is based on my own experience and from conversations with others in the area. As a result some nomenclature may be incorrect. I believe the ratings I have given are about consensus.
If anyone (i.e. Dan, Ric, Jeff, Bueller) knows better than I, or if you made the first ascent of any problem, let me know so I can edit the route info and give credit where it is due.

Comments: Summer 2005 camping was $8 per night. Because the canyon offers good car camping close to Tooele, it is VERY popular on weekends and crazy around holidays. I would also advise that you avoid the place during during hunting seasons because it is very hard to find parking anywhere along the road. You will be continously contending with hunter traffic.

Comments: 9+ imo. But I suppose I could attribute that to my ape-like arm span and featherweight classification.

Comments: A #10 stopper will also work.
