Comments: There is a quickdraw rapist on the loose in the pipeline! Hide your draws, hide your wife, hide your husband; because somebody is snatchin up all the draws around here. You don't have to come and confess, we are looking for you! We are going to find you! We are going to find you! So run and tell that homeboy!!!

Comments: ^Glad somebody finally checked this place out! Probably 100 or so problems in the general area... The listed problems are most definitely not all inclusive. Hopefully you had a fun day exploring !

Comments: Does anyone know if that place is OK to climb after rain? Or does the rock get wet/seep easily?

NJC is choss... There are sections of solid stone, but for the most part almost every NJC climb has a chossy element. Wet choss definitely breaks more readily. Treat it like sandstone and dry it out before you try it out.

Comments: Good Route! Definitely not 12c... V2 deadpoint move and done. Not much harder than its neighbor, just different.

Comments: This is area is also known as "The House of the Setting Sun" or "Ammo Dump" depending on who you ask. I bouldered here a lot when living in Barstow... I remember thinking that it would be cool to bolt some lines there. Glad somebody got around to it. I have posted information under the High Desert Bouldering section if anyone is interested in checking out some quality problems.

Comments: Nice! We used to call this giant "The Deathstar"... If I can remember correctly there is a pretty nice problem on the south face from a sit on the east arete. Also, some decent problems up the east face with the chopped bolts... I think you are on one in this pic.

Comments: Sit start from the lowest left flake/jug/knob... Mantle the lip and jump down unless you love super chossy highballs. Probably V2-ish.

Comments: Classic of the boulder! I always called it "Battle of the Bulge."

Comments: The only way this thing is V3 is if you climb to the lip and downclimb back to the starting pockets.... And thats from the far left pockets! We have always referred to it as "Peanut Boulder" and there is another sweet problem that climbs some solid patina flakes on the trail to Peanut/Pocket Rocket boulder.

Comments: If it is the boulder I am thinking of, then it looks like a igloo and I have always referred to it as such. I have bouldered around the area for years and have done pretty much every problem on the boulder. Every problem is quality for the area. Going off of memory from the giant slab and working clockwise is as follows:

1. Battle of the Bulge V0
- Slab to big flat edge to top

2. Downclimb VB
- Southeast arete

3. ??? V0
- Small face to right of arete on small edges

4. ??? V1
