Comments: I lost my black pro-tec skateboard style helmet with 2 go pro cameras in a BASE jumping accident off the North Face in 2010. If anyone finds it near the base of the North Face, or knows or someone who found it I would pay handsomely for the safe return of the memory cards in the cameras. Let me know!!!

Comments: Any updates on overall DWS access on the island? Here are the articles I am referring to. Anyone been climbing at the popular DWS areas recently? Are the signs banning climbing still in place? Are people climbing anyway? Such a shame to lose such an amazing place. I went a few years ago and am dying to go back, but not if DWS is banned.

Comments: Fun route. Harder than the 5.8 it is listed at here, but still not too bad. Graded 6a+ in the newest Mallorca guidebook. Often very wet and slimy but still very climbable even when wet. Fun first route at Cala Barques with safe falls the whole way.

Comments: As good as 5.8 can get. An awesome lead for those who want the experience of climbing Jolt but aren't quite at that grade. Very similar climb just much easier. 3 stars because the beginning sucks, but the upper arete makes up for it.

Comments: Now that the Butterfield book is hard to find, whats the best guidebook to get for the area?

Comments: At the anchor, the right bolt is loose and removable with just your fingers. Someone should head up there with a hex wrench to tighten the thing up and make sure it cant come out so easily.

Comments: Funny how climbing a route more than once changes your perspective. I climbed this route 3 times in a 2 week period to introduce a few new climbers to a multi-pitch outing. The first time I thought it was maybe a 5.9 for most of the route, but the crux on the third pitch felt to me around 5.10+. I was GRIPPED when pulling up to the top of the 3rd pitch belay ledge on lead. Climbed it again a few days later and was digging the rating over the sport and adventure climbing guidebook, b... more >>

Comments: Great climb. The graffiti is quite slippery, and there aren't many real footholds, but there are enough. Old school 5.6 for sure. Loose block after you exit the layback section just to climber's left, so don't knock it on your belayer!

Comments: Thanks for that Bill. No worries though, these are the risks we take to be in the mountains at any given time. I'm all healed up and climbing again, had nothing more serious than scrapes and bruises. I do now have a new rule for places like Eldo though from this incident: be first on the route or don't be on the route at all.
